Using Banqer in your class

A summary of some common Banqer questions

Last updated on 19 Jan, 2026

How do I introduce each expansion?
The 10 Banqer expansions have been laid out for you in a specific order, to allow the learning to flow and be consolidated as you work through. We have a Lesson Slide that you can present directly to your class, and a detailed Lesson Plan for each expansion, as well as a number of worksheets you can use. We would recommend introducing each topic in class first, using the Lesson Slide to guide you, and the worksheets available to allow your students some time to learn the basics of each area. You can then enable the topic from your Teacher view in Banqer to allow your students to move onto the in-platform activities in Banqer.
How long should I spend on each Expansion?
This will very much depend on your individual plans, time available and the level of your students. We would recommend at least one lesson on each expansion, however there are some that you could easily spend much longer on, utilising the worksheets and activities to further the learning opportunities.
How many weeks should I use Banqer for in my class?
This will again vary from school to school and class to class. Banqer has been designed so you can use it flexibly, and it is easy to extend your use of Banqer if you decide to. We have timeframes set up in platform to pace the content for your students based on use for one term, one semester, or the entire school year.
Can students use Banqer outside of class time?
Yes absolutely, and we love to hear about students getting so engaged in their own time. Students can log in at anytime, and you might find some of your students logging in throughout the week to check into their Banqer jobs.
Can I add another teacher to my class if I need to?
Yes you definitely can. If you are sharing the class, or off school with someone covering your class, you can invite teachers to have access to your class. At the bottom of your Teacher Dashboard there is a Manage Teachers area to do just this. If the teacher you need to add to your class doesn't already have a Banqer account with your school, they will need to be sent an invite first by whoever manages Banqer for you at your school, or you can email us here at banqer-high-support@banqer.co and we can help too.
How can I use Banqer to motivate and reward my students?
Banqer has an inbuilt reward and incentive system, making class management easier. Teachers can award Banqer Gems as one-off payments, which can be traded for default or custom rewards in the Banqer store. Watch this video for tips on how to do this.
Can I give my students Banqer Dollars?
It is not possible to give students Banqer dollars, they must earn all of their Banqer Dollars through either their jobs, quiz results, or their investments. The reason for this is that we have modelled everything in Banqer High off of the real world, and the real-world element could be distorted if we were to allow teachers to pay students. Instead, you can reward students with Banqer Gems.
My student has started a career with a student loan and now wants to change it, can they?
Your students can choose to leave a career path and start a new one at any time, however it is worth noting that any student loan debt they have taken on will stay with them, just like in the real world. When choosing a career students do go through several steps before confirming their career, so there are plenty of opportunities for them to change their mind.
